The "Questions?" bubble on this site is an automated assistant — a computer program, not a person and not a clinician. We offer it so visitors can get quick answers about the practice at any hour.

What it can help with

Insurance and cost basics, what we treat, our perinatal & postpartum specialty, how telehealth works, and how to get started.

What it will not do

Give medical or medication advice, discuss your personal situation, diagnose anything, schedule appointments, or hold an emergency conversation. It is not a licensed mental health professional and never represents itself as one. For anything personal, call or text (919) 739-3808 — a real person will help.

In a crisis

The assistant immediately provides crisis resources and stops the conversation. Call or text 988, or call 911.

How it works, and your privacy

Today, the assistant answers from a prepared set of answers and runs entirely in your browser — nothing you do in it is transmitted to us or stored anywhere. If we enable its AI-powered version, messages will be processed briefly on secure infrastructure under a business associate agreement to generate a reply, then discarded — no transcripts stored, nothing used to train AI. Either way, the assistant will never ask for personal identifying details or health information, and it shows no advertising. Details in our Privacy Policy.

If you ever ask the assistant whether it's human, it will tell you it's automated.
