Specialized care for pregnancy and postpartum.
Compassionate, evidence-based mental-health care for the perinatal year — with a PMH-C certified prescriber, by telehealth across North Carolina.
You're not alone, and you're not "too much"
Pregnancy and the first year after birth bring real changes to mood, sleep, and identity. Many parents experience anxiety, low mood, intrusive thoughts, or a sense of not feeling like themselves — and far too many go without support. Reaching out is a strong, healthy step.
How we help
- Perinatal mood and anxiety — depression and anxiety during pregnancy and postpartum.
- Adjustment, identity, and relationship changes — that come with becoming a parent.
- Thoughtful medication decisions — careful, collaborative choices about medication during pregnancy and while breastfeeding.
- A complete care plan — psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and supportive therapy, integrated and tailored to you.
Why a perinatal specialist matters
Your clinician, Josephine W. Hazeley, MSN, PMHNP-BC, holds the PMH-C (Perinatal Mental Health Certification) from Postpartum Support International and has a deep perinatal and postpartum background — including caring for women on UNC's Perinatal & Postpartum Inpatient Unit and three years as a research nurse on the trial behind the first FDA-approved postpartum-depression therapy. She is active in the leading perinatal organizations — PSI and the International Marcé Society — keeping care current and evidence-based. As a mother herself, she brings both clinical expertise and personal understanding.
What to expect
- Request a consultation — a short, low-pressure first step.
- A complete psychiatric assessment — and an open conversation.
- One tailored plan — with medication used thoughtfully and collaboratively.
- Ongoing support — that evolves with you through pregnancy and postpartum.
